Wiccan Rede
Hello practitioners!
whether you are a solitary witch or part of a coven, do you work in the parameters of "An ye harm none, do what ye will"?
Re: Wiccan Rede
Nope. I use to be Wiccan and follow the rede when I years ago I guess I grew out of it . I don't abide by it, it's useless rule to me and in my opinion I feel like they use that line just to look... Appealing to the mainstream audience has it to say "hey pagans/witches/wiccans don't do bad things" -

think that line would be awesome in a perfect world, but last time i checked, it wasn't raining lolipops and gumdrops, lol.
Re: Wiccan Rede
Exactly. The rede is useless and unrealistic by far.

I think i will post a video i did on the rede when i first started with Wicca. Going to try to find it and post.
Re: Wiccan Rede
I'm Wiccan and I go by it and respect it much.
Every major religion has this tenet, just in other forms like: "Do unto others...". It other words, they all mean: Be nice.
It's a Golden Rule that has existed among all the major philosophical schools of Ancient China: Mohism, Taoism, and Confucianism. And of course religions/faiths like Christianity, Wicca, Bahai, Hinduism, Humanism, Islam, Jainism, Buddhism and many, many other faiths..
If one doesn't follow or believe in it--fine, but to put down something just because you don't believe in it is wrong, in my opinion.
